In 2020, we launched the Covid Food Distribution project to provide food for key workers and vulnerable communities during the pandemic. We successfully distributed over 10,000 meals to hospitals, care homes, schools and individuals. The most significant bulk distribution was to 7 sister flats in Rochdale, UK, which housed 800 families. It took our team and a local community support officer and her team over four weeks to distribute it to all 800 flats.

The project was a huge success; everyone was highly thankful for this initiative. It has also allowed us to understand better the issues faced by our local communities and how we can best provide support.

We are delighted that this initiative enabled us to bring relief to people who needed it most in such difficult times. Our team worked tirelessly to ensure everyone involved was safe and had access to the necessary resources – cooking the food in our restaurant and coordinating deliveries with volunteers; our efforts paid off!
